While at the nation’s capital for the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, there’s no better time to take advantage of the many things the city and conference has to offer. Team LenderClose came up with a list of five must-do activities during your time in Washington, D.C.
5. Hike the Hill and tell your story
Hike the Hill, a grassroots program sponsored by CUNA and the state leagues to provide credit unions with the opportunity to visit Washington and educate decision makers on credit union issues. Network, build relationships and tell your story to federal policy makers and legislators.
4. Catch a professional sporting event
Sports fan? Get front row tickets to a game between the Milwaukee Bucks or the Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena. The Wizards are D.C's pro basketball team. There’s no better way to spend your evening than watching a nail biting head-to-head game.
3. Enjoy delicious oysters
Head to Clyde’s off Gallery Place, located in Penn Quarter and just a short distance from the Washington Convention Center. Clyde’s is known for its delicious American food and cocktails. But the real attraction here is the raw bar. Don’t even think about leaving without ordering a plate of their famous oysters.
2. Attend the FinTech Happy Hour, Sponsored by LenderClose
Join us for the 2nd annual happy hour event at Baby Wale Restaurant. Here you’ll be treated to drink specials, signature cocktails and appetizers while networking and connecting with industry professionals and companies disrupting the status quo.
1. Visit LenderClose at the exhibit hall
